Mordred's home is nestled in a heavily wooded area of the Cambrian Mountains in Wales. The forest surrounding his territory is especially dark and thick, no matter the weather or season: the natural magic there is designed specifically to discourage wayward explorers by either scaring them away or getting them hopelessly lost. Should some hapless soul manage to wander deep enough, they would eventually encounter a barrier of faerie time, where hours would pass in the time it took them to go a single step.

Within the barrier is an eternal glade, guarded by magic and nature spirits. Perpetual spring keeps wildflowers in the grass, moss and open blossoms hanging from the trees, weeping willows trailing the otherwise still surface of a pond. At night, fireflies and colorful motes drift through the trees, and everything is silver and luminous.
